White Marlin Tournament recap
DAY 1- started 200 fathoms in the washington within 5 mins had a 200 pd blue marlin on the laceration pet tuna plug, switched him to a ballyhoo and jumped him off. Then catch a white, then jump one off, then catch another on a small laceration plug,,then had a double flat line bite, 1 white and one blue same time both small,along with 2 more mystery bites…
DAY 2 -deep behind baltimore 1200 fathoms where the best of the white marlin bite was proved to be slow for all we did, see 3 whites did catch one on a soft plug laceration lure ,but did have the right one on a large marlin plug and jumped him off.
DAY3- back out to the bigeye hole in the washington, caught a white on a plug first thing, 65 inch fish, then had a couple bites- rats -then had bigeyes on the screen but we were not lucky enough to get a bite, but did see 8 hook ups with 5 getting caught. Had our regular tournament team on boat, great time, they will be in tuna, wmo, mid-atlantic TOURNAMENTS next year.
