The off-shore fishing here in Morehead City is great right now.  The charters are going out between the Big Rock and Swansboro hole.  The gulf stream has swung south and west and pushing some 72′ water into 30-50 fathoms.  It’s just a 40 mile run to this great fishing.
Boats have been bringing in 6-12 Wahoo averaging 40-50 lbs and up to 75 lbs.
10-25 blackfin tuna, large jack and Blue marlin. The Mahi mahi will be showing up soon too.
There’s been rockfish and Blues on the east side of the shoal just off the beach. Sharks and sea bass are biting too.
We’re running all types of trips here along with the Giant trips. From 1/2 day inshore to off-shore trips with prices ranging from $500 to $1400. We’re a short 6 hour drive from baltimore and the local accomidations are very resonable.
