  • Weather cancellations are rescheduled or carried to next year
  • Cancel 21+ days out for full refund
  • Cancel within 21 days — deposit forfeited if slot can't be filled
Good To Know

How Mate Gratuity Works

The first mate is paid through gratuity, not a salary — same convention as tipping at a restaurant. Customary gratuity is 20% of the charter rate, handed to the mate at the end of your trip. It is not included in the booking price or invoice — plan for it in your total.
