Mate gratuity is customary and not included in the charter price. Charter boat mates are traditionally paid through gratuity — the standard is 20% of the charter rate, given directly to the mate at the end of your trip. If you're new to charter fishing: it works the same way as tipping a server at a restaurant. We flag it up front so nobody is surprised at the dock.

Questions
The questions guests ask most often before their first trip aboard the Restless Lady. Don't see yours? Call the crew.
Reserve online through the booking calendar, or call Capt. Sean at 443-373-3413 or Capt. Jim at 443-995-1249 directly. Private charter deposits are $500 for day trips and $800 for overnight trips, with the balance due at the dock. Open boat seats are paid in full at booking.
Coast Guard limit is 6 anglers per trip. That's the max — kids and non-fishing guests count toward the total.
Yes, families are welcome. For long offshore and canyon trips we recommend kids be at least 10 years old and comfortable with open water. Shorter inshore day trips work better for younger kids.
Safety comes first — it's the captain's call. If we cancel for weather, your trip is rescheduled within the current season or carried forward to the next year. You don't lose your deposit.
No. All federal and state fishing permits are covered by the charter. Just show up ready to fish.
Captain, experienced mate, all rods, reels, tackle, bait, rigs, permits, ice, and fuel. You bring your food, drinks, clothing, sun protection, and a cooler for any fish you plan to take home.
Yes — the Restless Lady has a full galley on board. Pack whatever food you'd like and the first mate will use the galley to prep and cook your meals while you fish. Hot food offshore is part of the experience.
A cooler is provided on the boat to keep your drinks and food cold during the trip. You will need to bring your own cooler to transport cleaned fish home after the trip.
Non-marking boat shoes or sneakers with grip, layers you can add or shed, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), and a light rain jacket.
The Restless Lady is a stable 56' Post Yacht, but offshore seas can still move. If you're prone to seasickness, take Dramamine or use a scopolamine patch the night before and morning of the trip. Eat a light breakfast and stay hydrated on the way out.
Yes, dockside fish cleaning is available after every trip — but it is not included in the charter price. There is a separate fee paid directly to the cleaners. Bring your own cooler to pack out your fillets.
Yes. We do have Restless Lady merch available. Ask the crew about current gear and sizes when you book or when you are at the dock.
Yes. The Restless Lady fishes the major Ocean City tournaments — White Marlin Open, OC Tuna, Big Fish Classic, and more. Call the captains directly for tournament charter rates and availability.
