Headed out to the Hambone with Capt Todd Monday in search of the inshore Bluefin tuna’s reported at the Hambone. Water temp was 69′-70′ and water was greenish blue. Picked up a couple chopper blues and then had the big bite. After 20 minutes and expecting a nice bluefin we were surprised to see a 50# yellowfin, he hit the long starboard rigger with a Joe Shute pink head and ballyhoo. Covered up with big chopper blues up to 12# after that, couldn’t get the lines in without getting bit. Moved away from the alligators and no bites, lots of turtles, porpoises and a blue marlin riding the swell north with lock jaw. Painted plenty of bait. Reports from the Baltimore were a slow bite.
